Scoops Unlimited, the trading name for Devon House Ice Cream, began in 1989. It started in a small room with six employees and one machine to serve two outlets at the Devon House complex and has grown consistently since then. The managing director, Carol Clarke-Webster, had always agonized over the face that many Jamaicans were not able to enjoy the product because of the far distance from Kingston. Several years ago, they have their first distributor in Sovereign Centre, Liguanea. From them it’s been one success story after another. The Devon house operation remains the central manufacturing site to ensure quality control.
Mrs. Clarke-Webster credits the success of Devon House to several critical factors – the sustained high quality of the ice cream, as all fruits used are from Jamaican farmers; her management team; the customer service and production teams, the distributors and most of all-the dedicated and loyal customers.
